Father’s Day Book Reading Special

Father’s Day has arrived, (June 16th ) and what better way to commemorate it than to spend quality time with your children? I stumbled upon an event on Eventbrite, hosted by a Sheffield-based writer named Matt Coyne. He extended an invitation to parents and their children for a book reading session of “My Dad and the Toot that Shook the World”. He claimed that the book would foster a connection between a father and a child through humor.

The language used in the book seemed a tad sophisticated to me, primarily because I had never encountered the words “toot” or “shook” used in such a context before.

Matt Coyne plans to extend the narrative of this father-son duo who rescue the planet from a perilous fart… (You can buy it from here: https://amzn.eu/d/0bcFCiOM or to get it faster buy it in person from The Book Vault – Barnsley).

Here is a sample from the book. My daughter finds it hilarious because it encourages interactive fun—anyone can make a fart sound!

I was unaware of him until recently, but now I intend to follow his captivating shows, one of which is “Trolls and Tribulations – Man vs Baby”.

After the reading, I had the pleasure of meeting the author, Matt Coyne, who kindly agreed to a brief interview.
